Have all your original needs and desires been met?
With
-the desk holding a laptop
Yes the desk holds your laptop well both when in use and in storage. In fact the free space on the right of the tote tray compartments has made it even easier to store your laptop as all you now of to do is slide your laptop case in and out of the compartment.
-holds A stereo
I believe that this is one of the best changes the new desk has brought, this is because it allows you not only to use your laptop properly but it gives you lots of spare space on the desktop which was previously occupied by the stereo. If I remember right the stereo problem was the main reason for getting a new desk.
Does he desk fit into its environment?
Yes it does , but one problem was getting the desk up into your room as it was near impossible to get up the stairs. This was something you should have looked at when making the desk, if you had of been able to pull the top off than it would have been good.
Does the desk hold books, electronics and stationary well?
Yes however you are a bit tight for space now with half the amount of draws.
Do you think this desk would be good for future purposes? Like university
Yes I think this desk would help you at university, as it is pretty good for doing different types of work on.
Do you think this desk would succeed in the furniture market if it was mass produced?
I believe it could, you would however have do make some changes. Like you could turn it in to a piece of furniture that started off flat packed, and you could provide it in several different finishes.
Do you think this desk would be easy to maintain?
Go some ways yes, I say in some ways because if the desk is damaged than you will have to get someone who is good with wood to fix it. But I know the tote trays are good because they are easy to replace and you could even fit different sized ones in the desk.
Do you think the desk is fit for purpose?
WYes the desk does everything it should, and looks good at the same time. It does all the stuff you put in the brief.
Is there anything you would change on the desk?
That's a hard question, I would make the desk so that it was easy to move, I would have the sanding done better and he would have more tote trays. Possibly also a door no the front of the desk.
What don't you like about the desk?
That you can see the tote Trays
Would you buy buyer desk from a shop?
If the desk had a tidier final coat and it depends on the price.
Originally there was a budget of ninety dollars put in place. This was a standard budget to aim for and I was not to go over this unless the stakeholder approved and thought a budget extension was viable. The price was changed to 140 dollars, this included the purchasing of tote trays.

This was seen as a change which could not be helped, as wood is expensive and frankly ninety dollars is not enough for a desk of this size with tote trays which are about six dollars each anyway.
Specifications
-to be made from laminated wood
The desk was made from laminated wood with 150mm x 25 rough sawn macrocarpa, but first of all I was going to use impregnated pine, but I soon discovered that even this was too expensive to use over the whole desk. So I started looking at cheaper options and soon found macrocarpa which was perfect because the school had some in stock.

Does this desk do what it was intended for?
Originally I wanted to purchase a desk that fitted all of your needs. But no suitable desks were for sale within our price range. I wanted the desk to do everything your current desk lacked. You needed a desk that could hold all your electronics, Stationary, books, graphics gear, stereo and laptop. Looking at this now your desk does all of that. However a few things obviously haven't gone to plan as has been made obvious in our talks. Things like the second Row of tote trays being missing shows this.
